Ah bless him , my bair is 13 and the last 8 weeks or so she has really started to show her age , particularly losing her back end , I like you , do what I can for her she is more cute now than when she was a pup , and when she puts her head on my lap with those big brown now , somewhat cloudy eyes it breaks my heart . She has a bad heart so we cant do the swimming route but I did look into it and it seems to really benefit the dogs , good luck with him , we can only do our best for the oldies and try to repay all those faithful years Lxx

swimming is brill for them - even young uns.
If Arch is insured (I know applies to Petplan) - get a list of your insurance company's hydrotherapy centres - then you can claim on insurance.
Make sure you take Arch to one where you can get in with him - not all do... and some are on a controlled line that leads them round a central island - your little old man doesn't want that - he wants one where he can go at his own pace and have a bit of fun with you there with him.
Hope it works out.
Whereabouts are you ??

I'm in Brisbane Australia - the hydrotherapy centre I've seen is near to the Gold Coast - about a 30 minute drive for me. I'll remember what you said.l
Due to his age he was uninsurable when we got here. I don't mind it's only $25 AUD per session

I am exactly the same what Sami wants she gets. She decides where we go on our walks I just let her lead and follow where she wants to go. I am lucky that she is good at not going too far but sometimes if she wants to have a sniff at something new she gets a little tired and decides its home time now!!! She turns around and marches straight back home no stopping for anything , its so funny.
I think she plays me too, but she deserves it.

Tracy that's what my Polka does- I let her off the lead on the beach but she can't really run about, but like Sami when she decides she's had enough she's off like a shot for home. And although she's not running she gets up quite some speed and I have to run after her to catch her!
