sami is a jewel in the rough
Poor old girl

Have just been in the garden doing some odd jobs and Sami decided it was spring because of the sun. She was having a whale of a time trying to get somebody to play with her when all of a sudden she let out an almighty squeal. She is quite weak on her back legs now and whilst launching a full frontal assault on Leo the poor old thing fell awkwardly.

It was horrible she was sqealing and whaling, Leo was trying to lick her face I was sitting on the floor trying to hold her still while my husband was trying to untangle her back legs which had sort of folded underneath her.

Eventually managed to calm her down and she seems okay, shes lying on the sofa now.

Keep trying to tell the dosy old sod to calm down but she doesnt seem to realise shes getting old.

Thanks folks she seems none the worse for wear now and is back to being her little angel antics. She frightened the life out of me to be honest but it was nice to see her all playful until she came a cropper.

Heather has a spectacular aura about
aww poor Sami her legs can't keep up with her young at heart mentality- it's awful to hear them in such pain- I vowed never to take Polka on my own again in the car as a couple of weeks ago her front legs gave way as she was getting into the back of the car. She landed on her nose and her back legs weren't strong enough to get herself up and her front legs couldn't move either. I felt completely useless she was crying in pain I don't know how she managed to get up in the end but as I say never again..

Sending lots of love to you and Sami xx

ArchandEbs will become famous soon enough
Tracy and Heather I know how you both feel. This happens to Arch. I feel sick to the stomach when he goes down as he used to be such a strong dog. But he still wants to play and loves his walks, food, cuddles etc but it is so hard to see them when it happens. I find I have to make a fuss of Arch (and it's only me he wants at these times), rub his leg(s) and then he's better.
