I feel so upset for you. I'm sure he'll enjoy his time left with you, and you with him. Stay strong.

Oh God, I'm so sorry to hear that.

Spend as much time as you can with the poor old guy. Shower him with love and kisses and hugs and maybe even delectable titbits, if he'll eat them. I've noticed that pets will frequently let you know when it is time for them to go. And sometimes they will just quietly allow themselves to slip away in a place where they are happiest. He'll let you know when the time has come, and you won't know until then.

At least he has had a long and good life with you, and I guess that's all you could really ask for.

My thoughts are with you both.

OMG Dude...Just read this..I'm so sorry to hear that. That is what our Snoopy died of earlier this year.
I did get an ultrasound done, but as they said to me, they can operate, but it's most likely once they get in they'll find more. They told us she'd probably have 3-4 months if they operated. We chose not to go that route as it's not much of a quality of life.
We just loved her and nursed her along for about another 6 weeks. She was deteriorating and we knew it was time. Our girl was 12.

Do what you think is right in your heart for him. So sorry, all the best xx

That's exactly the decision I've made about Arch. He has good and bad days. Harry died of the same type of tumour in October. We're just enjoying our time with him, giving him lots of treats and things to temp his appetite. It's horrible because it's like a ticking time bomb. Harry chose to leave us when it was just me and my friend in the house. The night before he had a steak supper and we all said how much he was improving and in the morning we had to say good bye to him.

Thanks everyone for their messages of support.
