Smelly Breath!!

i dont know if Tyson counts as a senior as he is 7 so sorry if this is in the wrong place!!

Tysons breath REALLY smells its not just abit pongy it that bed i can smell it if he is panting in the hall and im in the living room!! i have tried the "fresh breath treats" and all those sorts of things but nothing!!
i need to do something about it as i dont even want to give him his hugs and kisses because i cant bear the smell of his breath!!

any advice or tips you have used or know to work would be great!!

thanks
sam

I wouldn't give polos - sugar won't be good for his teeth and often sugar free mints have xylitol in which is toxic to dogs.

Parsely is good. What are you feeding him, includng treats? It tends to be what they're eating which makes them smelly if you've ruled out tooth / gum disease.

Unless its doggy halitosis

FOOD -
they have "meatymix" its a breeder mix from our local whole salers it has loads of diffrent biscuits and some what looks like pork scratchings (not flavoured the same though lol) and a natural gravy all the breeders in our area use it and the mums and pups(when old enough) do fantastic on it! Tyson has had it for about 3 years and Cara had it since she was about 11 weeks as she wouldnt eat puppy food and wanted the same as Tyson (we added extra pellets with more protein and nutrients just to boost it for her) and we've had no problems!

TREATS -
Cara has the rawhide treats and some gluten free dried sausage
Tyson can only have the gluten free dried sausage because of his dicky tumtum!! they DONT have any sort of scraps from us BUT on the odd occasion i will cook them rice, veg, and maybe abit of chicken in with it! other than that they only have there dog food!!

thanks

Stuart has much to be proud ofStuart has much to be proud ofStuart has much to be proud of
If we cant come up with something here, then I would suggest the vet, because from what I see from Google, it could be as simple as teeth and gums,.. or as serious as Kidney disease or bad digestion

How long has Tyson been like this?
