Trying to Adopt Willow

Hi Everyone
This is Willow a 9 year old female in need of a loving forever home
I am hoping to adopt her and there's a couple of issues id like to get your thoughts on

1 She has not been spayed and is due her season in Dec (obviously wouldnt come to me till after christmas anyway but also boys havnt been done(plan on when they are 18 months in the summer)this will be when her next season will be due I think
She is in good health so should I get her spayed?
Is she likely to get Pyometria? If she isnt done
Her only real issue is she is very aggressive towards other BitchesHow would I tackle this without the use of a muzzle in public? Ideas
Also they think she is okay with cats when she gets to know them (I have 5)

DelsMum has a spectacular aura about
Yes you can get her spayed at 9, personally I would do it when she arrives.
Not sure about the issues with other bitches thing- is all bitches or just certain ones? ie dominant ones or submissive ones etc etc

the one thing I can help with the introducing dogs to cats thing. I did this with Del when my mother died and I inherited her 17 year old moggy. It takes time but it works. They might not love each other but they will live togoether amicably. I still have the info/fact sheet from Battersea Dogs Home Behaviour Dept telling you what to do- if you would like it PM me your email address and I'll fwd it to you.

That would be really helpfull and I will pm you my address
I feel spaying her would be the right thing to do as I certainly dont wantt any accidents
Apparently its aggressivness towards any/all bitches.

Update
Robin wont let me adopt Willow
I am devastated! It took one meeting to fall in love with her but he point blank refuses!
Friends of ours have all said how cruel of him to let me meet her(and the boys)to then say NO!
I dont know what the problem is
He says we cant afford another yet its me that pays for the dogs!
And that we havnt enough room yet we have two spare bedrooms one downstairs which would be perfect for her at night it has a bed and chair tv everything she would need through the night.
I was eventually thinking of turning it into a doggy room for the boys anyway instead of the kitchen for overnight use and when we are out.
I had a rotten christmas because of this.
Dont know what else I can do but let the rescue place know I cant have her
If he ever turns round and says we can have a puppy i'll swing for him I really will

Ive just had a serious talk with Robin and he has reluctantly agreed to a few more meets and for her to get cat tested
Am I being selfish???
This is really what I want and feel its the right thing to do
Its me who would take her out and spend time with feed and give her everything she needs and im sure in time he will love her like I do.
Robin would never be cruel or ignore her its not in his nature, but am I right in forcing this issue of adopting Willow upon Robin?

The Ark have now changed the info on Willow!
Just looked at her page today and this is what they have put!
They originally said no aggression towards cats and now it says aggression towards cats!
And I was told she was rehomed due to her biting another bitch!
Sex: Female
Age: 9yrs
Breed: German Shepherd
Size: Large
Colour: Sable
Brought From: Home
Reason For Rescue: Moved into rented accommodation
Neutered: No (last season June 09)
Vaccinated: Yes
Medical History: Fit and well
Diet: Complete
Behavioural History: Very friendly and laid back
Likes: Adults, good with children, and male dogs
Dislikes: Bitches and cats
Additional Information: Willow is a smashing girl, very friendly and loves company, especially if you’ll play ball with her. She’s never shown any aggression to people, only towards cats and bitches; the little hussy only likes the male of the species! She travels well and is house-trained. She can be left as she’s been used to being left while her owner was at work. She can be good on the lead, but can pull and doesn’t have good recall. She needs a cat-free and bitch-free home but will be fine with children. She was rehomed for a short while but returned because she bit another bitch she had been introduced to. New owners must be aware of this and either retrain or take preventative action when other dogs are around

Everythings going wrong!

gsdlover4ever is on a distinguished road
well maybe this girl isn't the right one for you, it might not seem it now, but maybe it is a good thing that you have found out that she doesn't like cats rather than finding out the hard way with your own cats.
I know you wouldn't have wanted anything to happen to them.

Maybe it is a hidden thing and maybe she doesn't like a particular cat and as a result the rescue is being extra cautious!

Hopefully there will be another perfect rescue dog just around the corner that you and your partner will fall in love with!

I thought she looked like a GSD X Akita!
