Personaly I think travel sickness in dogs is different to travel sickness in children,..I know of adults who have had travel sickness since childhood, and will always have travel sickness.

I have never known of a dog who doesnt eventualy get over travel sickness in time,...and I think that is because in dogs, travel sickness is fear of cars and or invollentary movement, not traveling as such.

As the above artical basicly says, you can overcome travel sickness in dogs if you can get you dog used to the car and the movement of the car

I remember having to sit in the back with dogs over the years untill such times as they felt comfortable with it,..lol, it can take a long time with certain dogs

Spyke had terrible travel sickness which looking back now, hindered us with his socialisation I had to wait until Colin was home so he could drive so I could sit in the back with Spyke to catch the vomit.

Probably took him a few months to realise, car travel = nice walk and visiting my mum. He gets sooooo excited now when he realises we`re parked outside granny Mgts

we used to have our border in the foot well before we had an estate as he would jump about.he used to get travel sick.since we got the estate and the 2nd dog we sercure them in the boot and they are both fine.
don't know if he grew out of it or travelled better in the boot where he can get more comfy.
