I think over time everyone including humans lose their teeth, and this is the same for dogs, Its important that you get regular dental examinations for your dog, I feed My dog a pedigree denta stick every evening and his teeth are still a nice pearly white! And he is 8yrs old..

None of my dogs lost teeth as they grew old. So no - dogs don`t lose teeth through age but through bad diet and disease.
Btw - I still have most of mine left as well!

My dog goes crazy over them, He loves them, He usually gets one after his final chance to go for a wee, before we go to bed, And he takes the dentastix back to his bed and has a munch on them! I find that they are really good!

My old terrier is 15 next month. His teeth are in pretty good condition for his age I think. I have never cleaned his teeth, just given him bones to chew. He is missing 2 of his front teeth though, but this is because he has an over shot jaw slightly and the teeth would rub together when he closed his month, and they just wore down a lot quicker!
