Socialise Your Puppy Or Suffer The Consequences!

Early puppy socialization is regularly mentioned as one of THE most important things any new dog owner can do in order to set their pet up for a lifetime of positive behaviour. Totally agree
Have done this with all mine
But I dont think you need classes to do it either.
More about getting them used to different surroundings like on paths, country and town.
Fields, woods and parks, where there are other dogs, animals and children.
When I started out with Troy I did the puppy training classes in a village hall, they were not allowed to interact off lead
This did not help but Luckily I took him out aswell.
Did the same with Kaiser but when he matured it didnt quite have the same desired effect as he had been attackedso is on the defensive now
Link isnt going to attend any more puppy classes instead im favouring the abovewhere she will come acroos every situation

Totally with you Linda on this. This is one of the most important things you can do for your pup! It sets them up for life confident, secure and prevents so many unwanted behaviours as they learn about everything! Socialising is my main aim as soon as I have pup it starts from day one and continues throughout their life and even before I make sure the breeder plays a huge role by socialising to household items and other pets if they have any Handling, grooming and as many positive experiences that they can do before the pup leaves them! I guess you could say I am A dog socialising fannatic! he he
