Exclamation Does anybody feed their dog Prize Choice?

How much do you give your dog? It says on the pack for a large dog 500g. Is this a day, per meal???? It's not too specific, and I need specific. Lol. xxx

LOVEGSD is just really niceLOVEGSD is just really nice
The amounts are per day so I always split mine into two meals, one in the morning and one at night.

do you think 500g is right? I thought that raw feeding should be 2-3% of body weight and Hannah is just over 30kg. So thats 600-900g??

Ozzie has a 454g bag in the morning and either 1 or 2 bags at night depending on how much he has been doing during the day. He weighs 47.5kg.

Hannah is just over 30kgs, so does 500g for the day seem ok???

GSD John - Well I'm converting to completely raw. As advised by our dog behaviourist, plus done a bit of research and it seems a lot better for them, and not as pricey as I thought.

The thing is with feeding raw is that it is hard to work out just what to feed ,..in the begining.

Raw food is generaly far richer than commercail foods,.. so very often the amount that you give to your dog doesnt look quite as much as you might think it should be.

It takes a little time and experience to get it right,.. what ever you feed to them,..watch their weight, they will soon put it on with raw feeding if its too much,............ personaly I would go with the 500g to start with and see how it goes,.. what are you feeding?

John,.... in my oppinion you shouldnt feed raw food and dry together,.. each are a complete food,..plus the fact that you could cause tummy upsets because raw takes about 4-5 hours to digest and dry about 12-14 hours,..[ .if you really want to do that then fed raw during the day and dry for the last meal to give it time to digest before the first raw feed ]

I used to feed that many years ago I had it delivered straight to my house from the Leeds depot; average for an adult male 2lb in weight plus other foods
