how often to feed

Hi, Kenzi is now 11 weeks and we are currently feeding 4 times a day. She is always hungry!!! When should we change to 3 times a day?? The food instructions (Royal Canin Junior 32) recommends 3 times a day until 6 months?
Her digestion is spot on and the feeding seems to agree with her.

Thanks
Fiona

Tedsmum will become famous soon enough
If she is still hungry then I would not be in too much hurry to change things. I let my pup tell me when he was ready to miss out a meal and it worked very well. As long as the pup does not become too fat then the will usually eat what they need. In time you will probably find that Kenzie will not be as interested in food so regularly and one meal may drop off.

My Vet advised me to put Bo on 3 feeds a day from him being 8 weeks old as he was such a bog boy that he could take it, which i did do. He went onto 2 feeds aday from 6 months onwards.

Blade stopped having his last meal at night around a month ago (he is 20 weeks old) and now has 3 meals a day, they all have a meal in the morning, a small bit of lunch then a meal in the evening again.

Good advice from the other posters.
We fed ours Royal Canin J32, 3 times a day from 12 weeks on. He's always hungry too but it helped with training using treats. And predictable toilet times

Colin.

Smile feeding times

Thanks to everyone for their advice.
We currently feed at - approx! 0800, 1130, 1500 and 1800.
If we go to 3 a day what time should the last one be?
I think she would be ok with 3 feeds and it would be more in each bowlful! which she will love!
She is growing well, 11 kg at 12 weeks and 2 days, she looks good on it, can feel her ribs but not see them too much.
We are on a training regime so she gets a few healthy treats throughout the day and we started her on raw bones last week. She loves the bones and they have had no effect on her poos! We ensure she only gets them well out of the dry feeding times to help with digestion.
She is also very regular with her poos, 3 times a day.
She does still love the dining room floor now and again for a sneaky pee, perhaps because it is green and looks like grass! but it is only in the evening time when she is allowed in the lounge with us and will wander into the dining room where it is cooler.

It is a long time for a pup to go from 6pm to 8am with no food.
At 12 weeks Kira was being fed at 8am, 1pm, 7pm and had her last (small)meal at bed time - about 10-10.30 ish. She was on three meals a day of kibble with a little good quality tinned or cooked meat and at bed time had half a tin of rice pudding (We have always fed our pups rice pudding - used to breed rottweilers). She could not wait to go to bed at night and in fact I have only just dropped the rice pudding completely - she will be a year old next week! She always slept in her crate and never messed or weed in there overnight - in fact she never pooed in the house at all!
She eventually dropped the 1pm meal at about 8 months but continued having a couple of spoons of rice pudding at night until about a month ago - only stopped because I took her away to pony club camp and decided not to take any with me. Now she gets a few gravy bones at bed time instead.

Echo has had 3 meals a day since about 12 weeks, she comes to work with me about 50% of the time and its just not practical to take 2 meals a day in my truck but she seems great on it

We split ours so it's around approximately 8 hours per feed. 6:30am, lunchtime, and around 7 or 8pm.

Colin.
