Question Low protein for behaviour??

Just wondering if anyone would recommend trying a low protein food e.g 'Burns' for my 15 month old, he has lots of exercise both physical and mental but is quite dominant and still mouths (often quite hard) and challenges. Would switching him to a lower protein food be ok at his age? At present he is on Eukanuba large puppy/Junior.

LOVEGSD is just really niceLOVEGSD is just really nice
The wrong type of food can have an effect on their behaviour, personally I wouldn't feed my lad Hills or Eukanuba. Diesel was on Bakers when I took him on and he was so hyper, as soon as I change him over I noticed a huge difference in him.

He went over to Arden but he's now fed Orijen 6Fish and I wouldn't feed anything else tbh as it really suits him.
xx

Caryll is a jewel in the rough
Agree with above. I feed raw, but when my OH tried Bakers they both went hyper & very naughty.

Dunno about a low protein food .. but agree with the others here, Bakers, Zak was on it for a while and I really wasn't happy and thinking back yeah he is calmer since changing his food .......

The rescue GSD I recently took on was on Bakers Adult. For an eight month old pup from working lines HYPER!! Might as well give her Haribo!

I put her on Orijen Large Breed Puppy food - no grains or fillers, good quality etc BUT boy did she poop! Even though I was feeding her the right amount she'd sh*t for England - I'm talking 4 HUGE poos before 2pm My friends even commented on the size of them 2 poo bags to fit one in, sorry if TMI...

Switched her to raw, the same as my other GSD, and such a difference - she smells less doggy, less pooing, is putting on muscle and she's more calm. Result.
