Raw... Puppy.... Help? Thanks :)

Hiya, i made a thread on this a while back, I know mostly what I should be doing now, i've been researching it for a good year or so.

Just wondering though, I'm going to be ordering from Durham Animal Feeds. What bones etc. are okay, and not okay for a puppy? I don't really want to be feeding minced meat, i'd rather it be raw meaty bones. And it will be prey model 80/10/10

What's the difference between normal tripe and puppy tripe!?

Are chicken wings too small? If I can feed chicken wings, how many and how much extra chicken meat to feed as wings are quite a lot of bone..

Chicken carcass
Duck necks
Turkey Necks
Chicken fillet - is that just like chicken breast? Or just pure chicken meat with no bone?
Big bag of bones - ??
Raw meaty venison bones - anyone had these before?
Raw beef knuckle bones - is that just recreational? and is it too hard for an 8 week old pup?
Raw lamb ribs - is there much meat on these?
Raw beef shanks - " "?
Mixed raw beef bones
Mixed raw lamb bones

Obviously there will be liver/kidney in there, and working on getting lung, and will bung some heart in there in the muscle meat every so often.
What about pigs pancreas?

Sorry for the ridiculous number of questions. If anyone has any suggestions for a sample diet...

Also - the breeder will be feeding a mix of royal canin or pro plan and raw chicken etc. Since the pup will already be used to raw, should i just change him onto raw from day 1? Or would i be better feeding the mix of kibble and raw for the first week or so eve though it's not that great for him..??

Thanks sooo much! x

Most find it easier just to switch to raw completely so after a couple of days of settling in just do it.

I would use it as a training opportunity to bond with your pup, as raw is a high value food, so maybe hand-feed combined with a recall? Also get pup used to sitting before eating and you removing its food.

I'd give more raw meat than bone initially as pup's system might not cope with large amounts of bone, and it will need protein for growth.

Chicken wings are fine for pups and large dogs as long as you supervise how it eats, 'gobblers' shouldn't have them, dog should crunch them into smaller bits before swallowing.
They're fine for 1 meal on their own but maybe mix a bit of heart or offal in with it to increase meat % if you want.

Proportions: my dogs are 2 years and 9 months old. I feed both 10-12 wings with 1/2 lb of raw dog food in one sitting.

Don't try and give to many protein sources at start - pup won't need it - one protein, say chicken, for 2- 3 weeks before introducing other meats. Useful in case dog is intolerant to a certain meat and you'd want to exclude it.

The difference between puppy and other tripe... Sorry, have no idea.

Also... would you suggest 3% of ideal body weight, or 10% of current body weight? 3% of adult body weight seems an awful lot! Although I suppose it is split into lots of meals...

Yes I will stick to just chicken meat/bones for a week or so, keeping check on poos. then introduce offal (beef?) Then other meats. I'm not meaning that i want to feed all the stuff on that list initially, just what I can once he's used to it.

Thanks x

Caryll is a jewel in the rough
As above, but would add only feed softer bones (ie chicken wings) until teething starts. Then you can go on to things like ribs/necks etc.
