That's good news. It's great when you see them enjoying their food too

Dempsey's always done really well on raw. I know it doesn't suit every dog or every owner, but mine certainly looks good with it!

Just be carefull now, that she doesnt put on too much weight, it can happen very fast with a raw diet,..I would suggest that when she has reached the weight that is right, that you reduce the amount you give to her a little

It will often look too little for her,.. but remember that a raw diet is far richer than a commercial food, so she may not need quite as much,.. personaly I forgot about size of dog verses weight of food etc a long time ago,..I feed my dogs as much or as little as I need to do to keep their weight right,...its the best indication that you have it right

I agree, I never weigh Dempsey's food. If I think he's putting on too much weight I just cut down a little.

He does that anyway - he never thinks he's had enough. He'd carry on eating till he burst!

The only problem with raw is if you go on hols & don't have a fridge freezer with you! Last year we gave Dempsey tinned food for a week because we went camping & he wasn't at all impressed!

Yeah when we go away with the dogs we make sure we can still give them raw... Even if its some frozen supermarket mince, when we stay with friends / family.

Last year I took their usual food packed with ice blocks in a cool box for the holiday journey, thankfully we had an ice box in the cottage we stayed at.
