Reasons For Raw

For those who, like me, are considering changing to raw this article is fantastic. It also provides, for me, a perfectly plausible explanation as to why our doggies eat disgusting things like poo + puke EEEEEEWWWWWWWW

So, wonder no more why your bubbas eat such things

Real, Raw, Organic Dog Food Supplier - Why real food?

I think this is a brilliant article + as soon as I've got rid of all the processed food I have I'll be trying it

Nice, balanced article. The only problem being that he doesn't mention that dogs can't digest vegies unless they are pulped. Giving whole veg may make them happy (Dempsey absolutely loves carrots & cabbage) but it won't provide nutrients.

Otherwise, he puts a good point across.

Thanks Caryll, I'll be careful with veggies. They won't be getting many veggies anyway if our diet is anything to go by

By all means give them veg - there's nothing wrong with it, it just doesn't do them any good, if you see what I mean. We often give Dempsey carrots & cabbage & he loves them but they come out the other end almost exactly as they went in!

If they'll eat it, you could always try running some carrots through a food processor to mush it up & either give it to them like that, or mix it in with a little minced meat to make a pattie.
