Too much energy ?

Hi all

Just on the verge of going raw (she runs out of food today). On our walk this morning I spoke with another GSD owner who said that if I swop onto a raw diet Sheba will have too much energy !!!!!! She is not a working dog so is thios comment true ???

I am a complete noobie so all I am sharing here is my very limited experience which is 4 weeks of having my GSD pup but we have found after Blitz has chomped on a full raw chicken wing he will sleep for a good hour or so, it seems just eating it takes it out of him, we don't think he is too hyper at all.

Err, a GSD is a working breed! They are high energy dogs generally. I found switching Zee to raw calmed her down (a bit) and she's working lines. Previously she was on Bakers

Just get the balance right, I'm sure you'll find Sheba will love her new menu, and if you do some hand-feeding it will increase the bond you have with her

Ozzie is raw fed, and he can be a right lazy git at times!!!! I very often have to wake him up on the weekends, he would stay in bed all day if you let him!!!! He is fast asleep at my feet now.

Kira and Polka are fed raw and they're just like any normal dog (but smell nicer!)

Strange peoples misconceptions !! Both Shebas parents are working (security) dogs. Just like Ozzie Sheba had her walk this morning & has slept since then.

Lucy, have you been following a particular diet plan ? What weight is Blitz ?
