Why do vets......

After I picked George up from the vets after him having his Mangos removed, I was told to feed him somelight, chicken & rice,

I have just tryied to feed him his normal food and he looked at me, looked at me again and walked off.

If he thinks he's having chicken all the time, then he's gonna stave.

hehe Rocky did that after we got same advice

once he relised he wasnt getting chicken he started eating again lol

But speaking of things vets do, i hate it when the try to push certain brands of food onto you, the same brand that just so happens to be on all the the little freebies they give you when you sign up *sigh*

Sponership pushing much? lol

I just told them Rocky tried the hillmans stuff and turned his nose up at it (they were trying to say he was underweight cause of his food no less!)

This was when he was very young though and a fussy eater, he just wouldnt eat somedays so cant force him.

Anyhow he's far from underweight now the big bugger lol

The vets are desperate for you to buy their brand...we avoided it too

I get pestered with the same question every time I see the vet. He knows full well Henry eats only First Choice from Canada and the odd bone or bit of chicken now and then.
grrr....

My vet doesnt bother with trying! My furbabies eat Wagg and thats it. I am not changing to a brand that cost a fortune and is no better than what I already provide. Half the time the more expensive brands cause more problems with my Jacks belly. Cheap and Cheerful all the way!!!

Our vet always let's Diesel lick his face when he visit and he gives him a treat - I trust him so much - but unfortunately he's retiring and I'm not so keen on the new young upstart that's replacing him....think we're gonna change to another vets who has a fantastic rep.
