Need Some Help xxx

Tilly has been to vet again today, she was previously dragging her bottie along the floor + had a bit of a skin problem. Her glands are fine, (although rather smelly as they are eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwww) but nothing much in there.

Vet is convinced it's a food allergy that's causing irritation to her, he showed me a tiny patch next to one of her glands where she's been nibbling or its a carpet burn. Thing is there's a prob + I need to sort it.

He thought rather than spend a shedload of £ for tests that wouldn't necessarily be conclusive, we need to keep looking for the right food. We need to analyse each food bag + systematically rule out certain things. But what am I looking for that would be a main offender re allergy????

Gluten ? Fish ? Wheat ? ???????????????????

HHHHEEEELLLLPPPP, my baby girl is itchy + I don't know how to go about starting to analyse her food, I don't know where to start.

Any ideas would be very much appreciated xxxxxxx

TY xxx

That's what I thought, it would be a really long laborious task, but I'll do what I have to do for my babygirl.

I just don't know where to start

Tracey I don't know what to suggest for Tilly. What foods have you tried so far? It might be worth having a Sensitest done like I did with Remus when he was itchy. It revealed allergens (food and environmental) that would cause allergy, and you could avoid said allergens. Otherwise it will be a slow process of elimination, diet-wise.

That's what I'm thinking Anni, it's so bloody expensive though

Did the test reveal the cause of Remus's allergy + was it food related?

We've tried

Eukanuba breed specific (this must be what caused the prob in the first place)

Fish 4 Dogs

Science Plan

They have half a foil each a day (I'm soooo generous ) Do you think it could be the foil rather than the dry food that's causing the problem?

I use Butchers/Caesar/Tesco/Anything really

TY xxx

That sounds sensible. Elimination would be easier if she was raw fed but there are so many ingredients in dried food you'd think it'd be near on impossible to find the culprit.

I've seriously been thinking about it again, I need them on the same thing so have to find something to suit both.

If I gave it a week or so on raw, say beef mince, do you think Bo';s bad tum would sort itself out? Is mince enough? He won't eat chickie wings or anything, but loves mince, but he really suffered with his tum.

I know raw is good, but can't have 1 on raw + 1 not, be like WW III
