Sardines

Hi everyone,

I know there's been discussion about this recently but I can't find it

Wolfman, you've been feeding Layla tinned sardines, are they the ones in sauce + how much do you give her + do you mix them with anything else ?

Thank you, much appreciate any help x

Tanya is on a distinguished road
I make treats out of tins of sardines in tomato sauce .
Just mix them with whole meal flour and an egg , pop it in the oven and cut into small cubes , all of my dogs go crazy for them

I just get the cheapest tins Tracey, no extras in it, just some soya oil...Make sure you don't get the ones with the red peppers in them...It will be marked on the tin if it has them.

I simply mix the whole little tin in with her kibbles. She loves them. Her itching has stopped and she has an added nice shine to her coat...Bonus!!
I am now giving them to her once a week. If I do happen to see some itching picking up, I'll give her another tin, but so far the once a week plan seems to be holding. Hope this helps you.

Caryll is a jewel in the rough
I give Dempsey a tin of sardines in tomato sauce or oil once a week. If it's oil, he has to have it drained (fussy beggar!). He won't eat it mixed in with his food so he gets it seperately.

Thank you everyone. I'm at my wits end with this food thing

Tilly is still itching, Boris's coat has gone all dull + greasy, I think that's the fish4dogs so I've knocked that on the head

We're on the Orijen but no improvement yet but I know it takes time

Will just have to plod on, got some more ideas I'm going to try, but definitely sardines. They have tinned mackerel + tuna + pilchards sometimes. I'm going to increase the pilchards/sardines a bit + see how we go

Thanks xxxx
