Which Liver?

Hi all just wondering what Liver you give the bubbas? Does it matter? I noticed that Sainsburys do Lamb, Chicken and just noticed tonight that they do Pork too.... theres no difference in price or anything I just wondered if one is better than the other.....................

............. hmmmm hang on is this a stupid Q, they are all 'Liver' after all

Im making Liver Cake BTW .... my house STINKS and more than usual too because Im making TWO cakes, its my boys (Storm) birthday, 1 year old

Ozzie isn't that keen on lambs liver, so I always tend to go for Ox liver, that seems to be his favourite!

I use any, although for stuffing kongs i cook chicken livers

I use ox liver for the simple fact it's the cheapest.

If any liver is cheap at the supermarket, I'll get whichever type, doesn't matter to my two

For their raw offal I never use pigs, always lamb, chicken, beef or Ox
For cakes I use pigs as its very strong and the boys prefer it
Only use pigs as obviously its cooked

Thanks for the tip Linda, I hadn't seen the pork liver before today. I used to use lamb but one day they only had chicken so I used that and for some odd reason the cake seemed to be better.... Not tasted it of course lol it just looked better

there are risks from all types of liver
Toxocara - lambs liver, cows liver in fact any animal that eats infected grass not only have the larvae have been recovered from lung, kidneys, brain and muscle meat
with sheep/lamb there is also the added risk of a protozoa that causes toxoplasmosis
