advice needed please

Sorry if these sound like daft questions but i need to ask anyway.
A couple of weeks ago i was given a couple of rabbits which i put in the freezer
the same day. I would like to try giving one of them to Tia raw but im a little nervous as i've not tried her on anything raw.
Is a whole rabbit too much as a single meal ? Tia is a trim 38kg
Secondly is it really safe to let her eat all the small bones as well?
Thanks in advance for any advice

Hi, not daft all Try it and see. Jacket on or off? Is it gutted?

One of mine loves rabbit, the other refuses to eat it in any form. I feed Zee (she's 29 kg) half a large rabbit for each meal.. i literally cut it in half. I get ferreted rabbits from my butcher, and they're prepped (no head or feet, skinned and gutted).

Small bones are safe if they're raw. Never feed cooked bones from any animal. If the jacket's on it will wrap around bones (if she'll eat fur). But a dog's GI tract is more than capable of digesting bones due to the strong acid in their stomachs anyway.

The nearest I got to feeding a whole rabbit was Dempsey catching one! But then the stupid idiot let it go again!

My 2 found a sick one the other day and were chasing it. It was squealing and jumping randomly. Neither dog harmed it. I probably should have killed it to end its suffering... But didn't have an implement or knife. I didn't think hitting it over the head with my Blackberry would do it!!

Its amazing the size of the bones they'll eat with no ill effect. I think our litter was only 6 and a half weeks when we gave them their first chicken wings bones and all and they were gone in a flash.

If you go anywhere near Anti when she's got a chicken wing she practically swallows it whole and she's only 6.5 kilos at 10 weeks. I was really worried the first time she did it but she was absolutely fine.

Theres a really good book called Give Your Dog A Bone: The Practical Commonsense Way to Feed Dogs For a Long Healthy Life and its informed our dog nutrition for about 15 years. Hooch our Staffy is 17 and Pig our old Rottweiler lived to be 16 on this diet which is very old for these breeds.

Blackberrys have their uses, but I'm not sure that would be one of them!
