Dempsey won't eat anything else! I give him a mixture of meat (no mince) and bones, but no poultry, as he's intolerant of it. Raw eggs are great. Mine won't eat one unless I lightly beat it so the yolk is mixed with the white!

I have just started, but so far both of them are very eager to see what i pull out the 'bag of tricks'.
I got given some horse tongues today which went down very well, the best so far. i have also given white tripe, lambs liver and everything chicken.
I have been told by a few members on this forum to freeze everything first for at least 24 hours, except pork which needs approx 3 weeks freezing to kill parasites. I hope the raw-feeding continues to go well for you and your girl

If you're feeding human grade pork then there shouldn't be a problem with parasites.

ive just change my dog diet (ozzy) and he to loves what ever i give him, he just dosnt seem to be putting on any weight at the moment and im a bit worried, i got him when he was 6months old, hes very active, this is my second german shepherd, oh and not forgeting sheba the family german shepherd we all grew up with and she lived till she was 14.
Oscar is 8months old sable, hes a stunning boy, he goes out twice a day once in the morning and once in the evening, ive give him raw eggs and dosnt seem keen, he has cod liver oil capsules that he just eats straight out of my hand, hes has plenty of treat, pigs ears hyde bones ect..... is there anything i could do to put more weight on him or is it just his age!!

If you are going down the RAW diet route, and you want to put weight on, then Tripe is probably the best,..either that or increase the amount of raw food,..it doesnt take a lot to put weight on a raw fed dog
If you want to give eggs, then try mixing them with something else,..eggs are good but not too many
...... and welcome to the forum, why not introduce yourself, and Ozzy in a new thread so that everyone can say `hello`, we would love to see photos of Ozzy

Try lightly beating the egg. For some reason, some dogs don't like the white of the egg, but if you beat it together they'll eat it.
I agree with the tripe, but make sure it's 'green' tripe, not the white, human grade tripe - it has much more goodness in it.
One word of warning, though. Hide bones should always be supervised; if they tear off a large strip & swallow it, it can swell in the stomach & cause a blockage.
