Was I too quick?
I got Olli on Friday night and he came with a small bag of Eukanuba Large Breed Puppy food. Unfortunately, despite my best efforts, I could not find Eukanuba anywhere to purchase from a shop in a physical sense and online ordering would have taken too long. So after reading many threads on here, I decided to get him a bag of the James Wellbeloved puppy food and swap him over so since Saturday's last meal I've mixed little bits in to the eukanuba and increased it to 75% JW to 25% E.
Poor Olli really seems to be struggling with the JW, having loose stools and he seems to be straining (sorry if tmi).
So, I've ordered a huge bag of Eukanuba online and am hoping it will come imminently. I'll put him straight back onto full Eukanuba and then maybe try again using very tiny percentages at a time!
Have I done the food swapover too quick do you think?
The other thing is, I think he's teething as he's chewing everything in sight (including me - I think I've got yelping down to a t now!) so could it just be that he's teething that he's having loose stools (just like human puppies do!)?
Ice cubes are going down a treat, a water soaked frozen rope toy is also savoured, any other ideas for helping sooth his poor gums?
Thanks in advance!

It could well be a mix of the two,.. you have done the change a bit quick,...although I do understand why,..... I dont know, but is JWB a particularly crunchy food?
The other thing is that any change over, no matter what the food, can produce runny bums, it takes time for the gut to settle down
I think that if I fed a dry food, that I would find out which food is best and stick with the better one for a while longer and see if the dog settles
...you could have been a bit quick to go back to the Eukanuba if JWB is the better food

I don't give him any milk so no worries there!
Olli will be on Jw for the next few days anyways as I don't have enough eukanuba to put him back on that until it's delivered.
Thanks folks, something for me to think about
