help with weight gain

NO NOT ME!!!!! thats the last thing i need. its joe. i think he is too thin, even for a whippet.just bone and muscle. hubby and others think he is perfect but i would like to see a bit more weight on him. havent a clue how. he is wormed and healthy and eats really well. complete morning and night with either meat or fish and doggy snacks throughout the day. will also give him human leftovers in his bowl. only meat pasta and veg. no spuds.. if we go on holiday and he having constant runs he looks like a half starved dog within 36 hours. mayby he just built to be lean.
any thing i havent thought of that might bulk him up a bit

I have no idea other than the conventional tripe etc, but just wanted to say that a friend has a whippet that is exactly the same.....she is extremely skinny butshe does eat well. I guess its just their breeding and how they are. If he is healthy and happy then I wouldnt worry.

i think trouble is there are a few whippets around this town, all fat, well fat for whippets anyway. just lead in town dogs i suppose whereas joe has good runs.. also next to chunky furry sam he looks even thinner.

If you really want to bulk him up, then try green tripe. But it might just be in his genes to be that way.
