Freebie....

Ok guys, i got given a pigs head tonight...... the full works. Now i'd not asked for pork as i thought it wasn't that good for them.
But seeing as i have it what the hell am i going to do with it....
I know to cut the ears and cheeks off, but how do i get through the rest of it??
Is it ok to give to the dogs? (bearing in mind their on a raw diet)
I think i remember some-one saying pork has to be frozen for nearly a month before feeding, can someone just clarify this please?

Just give it as it is as it been cut in half if so they will eat brain first the only bit they wont eat are the teeth
all raw meat contains parasites whether that be worm eggs/larvae or protozoa, and will contain bacteria
Unless it is straight from the abbatoir it is likely have been stored at extremely cold temperatures even freezing does not kill all parasites only cooking does that

its not bin cut in half its still whole........
so by not freezing it, will it do the dogs any harm?
I have been worming them a lot more recently because of the change of diet as i was advised to do so.
And i believe it will have come straight from the abbatoir.... it was killed today.

I thought it was just 3 hours you need to freeze foods for.

There is a Video of my cousins dog Jenson eating a whole pigs head on the forum somewhere. It took him two hours and then I think Jay said he did not eat for 2 days hehe

Su-C is on a distinguished road
I dont feed raw so dont know too much about it, but I knw that another member on here (RichardAlan I think) has posted pics of his 2 dogs tucking in to a pigs head.

My vet feeds raw, but wont feed pork (not really sure why?) but I think you should go for it. You'll have very contented dogs with jaw ache!!
