The general answer is `yes`,.................. but I personaly think it depends on the size of the fish,.. if I get fish up to about 12 - 14 inches or so then I give the whole fish,... but I can often get given bigger fish,.. these I find the back bones are just a bit spiky,... and could possibly cause a problem.

I am sure they could probably deal with them,...after all a wild dog would manage, but personaly if I get fish too big, I cut back the top spiky back bones,... just in case

Mmmmmm yummy mackerel I love fish. Dogs should manage them raw just fine.

On a slightly fishy note I've just ordered my first Gugu ( young ganet caught off the north coast of Lewis) they salt them to store until the hunt is finished early Sept and I'll get mine pickled for when I get there late Sept never tried it so excited as never tried it. Lol I kind of love food!!!

TandCs is on a distinguished road
My uncle offered me a rainbow trout for us humans to eat but we don`t like fish but I said I`d take it for the dogs He`d cut the head, tails and fins off and it was gutted. Braeden doesn`t seem to really like raw whole fish until Belle tries to steal it from him.. then he`ll have a wee munch. He much prefers little tins of sardines

Never tried it either, but it is going to be fishy and salty,.. [ even if it wasnt salted after caught ],... not sure if I would like it, somehow I doubt it
