i personally wouldnt give it as you need to soak it for a while to get rid of the bleach
do you have any halal butchers near you if so you can normaly purchase a sheep stomach for 50p and it isnt bleached

Bleached tripe has little nutritional value for dogs. As Pam says it's the green tripe you want. Some info here
Green Tripe Site Index

I get a whole cow tripe for £2.50 straight from local butchers.. they slaughter there, not many do these days.

It's big - the last one I had was 3' x 2'. Cut it up into pieces, put in freezer bags. Day before I want it I drop bag in a bucket of cold water in my outbuilding to de-frost. Then just give a piece to each dog outside.

Anni, I dont know how you cope!! We barely managed to get it from the plate it was defrosted on to the bowl we served it in!!
Tripe is awful. Nowadays we don't feed it as whole as we should and we but it minced from Pets at Home.
It's not as good as the real thing but it doesn't smell too far off lol!

I don't think raw tripe smells any worse than any other meat, to be honest. Cooked, however, is a different thing!

Bleached tripe isn't very good for your dog, as Pam says you have to soak it to get rid of any leftover bleach, and most of the goodness has already been bleached out of it. Green tripe is a good food & most dogs love it.

Groo... it does smell! To me it pongs of cow sh*t, a farm smell. I wear surgical gloves to prep it but I swear it gets through and I can still smell it on my hands! It's not so bad once it's been in the water.

Forgot to say 1 large cow tripe will last my two about 3 weeks. I feed it for one meal 3 times per week. Best fed outside, not just because of the pong but Remus shakes it.. scraping bits of tripe off the porch ceiling isn't pleasant.
