I always have a rule to freeze for at least 24 hours, but I dont think it is always nessersary, if you know where they come from,.. freezing will not kill everything I know, but its just a rule I have given myself from day one

i would like to feed bruja raw but her stomach seems to be too sensitive and i wouldnt know where to start.ive read thing on here but,its a case of how much ,how often, whats good and whats not.she seems to prefer meat to her kibble, but ive always cooked her offal(she loves liver).but even then it seems too rich for her.so i give her dry with liver / meat stew on it.and she wolfs it down.then wait and see.

Jess used to have an amazingly sensitive tummy when she was on kibble, but now on raw, she rarely has an upset tum.

Liver is used to make them loose (as is offal), so if anything will make her rear end a bit loose, it'll be liver I find it doesn't affect them as much if you make it into liver cake

A good site to read (IMO) with regards to raw, is Krisannrio's Raw feeding site - Home

I've never looked back on changing Jess to raw Both of my two do very well on it

Feeding raw can often confuse, but it is realy is a lot easier than you might think.

First of all ... Variety,.. feed as many different types of raw meat/bone, eggs, fish is great... etc

Dont worry about amounts, I have never weighed anything,.. remember that you will need a suprsingly small amount to equal what you feed now,.. feed,.... watch the dogs weight, too much weight reduce the amount, too little add the amount

Try to get a good reliable source before you start, .... suppermarkets, butchers, whatever, get to know them before you start

i think thats what confuses me most is how much.,bruja is 1 and growing still.so to see a dish with a fraction of what goes in it now would worry me that im not feeding her enough.is ther a basic diet guideline anywhere on here.then theres the poultry, how would i wean her on to it.do i give her regular food, then chuck her a chicken wing mid day.then her normal second meal.
