Half raw, great results so far....

For the last couple of weeks sam has not seemed too bothered about his midday meal..his tummy doesnt react well to having too much of anything mixed with his complete. all i get is too many to count very stinky loose piles everyday..wonder how much goodness he gets with all that waste.....

so changed his diet 9 days ago. no midday meal, only a meaty bone for an hr or so... complete only in the morning mixed with literally a teaspoon of fish or such for flavour and garlic.. and Raw at evening.. typical meal. 400 grams beef mince or beef shin and a chicken quarter plus a small sliver of liver... he absolutely loves it and so do i.. all i have now is 2 very hard neat piles to clean up each day and a happy dog..
just hope its enough, i think he would eat 3 times that but he is a greedy guts lately......does this seem enough??

I don't know really but you are getting good results coming out so something must be right - sounds like good food to me, I'm sure someone will know more about the 'balance'.

The outcome changes significantly doesn't it!
So much so, that when i came back from a weekend away, first job was going out with my dogs....... i then returned home with them and asked OH how he had got on with the raw feeding and how much was left, the answer was what i expected, ''yeh they've been fine, wolfing it down''
Response ..........So why did i have a two handed ''pick-up'' and what's the box of BAKERS doing in the bin!!

Back to original question, i think the amount sounds fine, i split a whole chicken for both dogs for the first meal of the day.

EVERY BLOODY NIGHT.. on the odd occasion when he has no choice but to lock up he tells me how good he is to me and spoilt i am

I had better not comment on the `man bits`,.. for fear of being `got at,...lol

I would say that Sam meals sound fine to me,.. you will soon know, just watch him, watch his weight, and add or take away depending on how he looks

Very pleased that he has taken to it so well,.. and that you also seem to like it better
