DelsMum has a spectacular aura about
I feed weight bearing bones as the ones I get from my butcher have loads of meat on them but I confiscate them once they have stripped them if that makes sense as I don't want any broken teeth

The largest bones on a deer are not very big, its a slender boned animal, so I am not really in the postion to comment on weight bearing bones,... but I have been told that a dog can chip a tooth on them,..so on that score, and that alone, I have usualy said beware

Caryll is a jewel in the rough
I feed Dempsey with lamb spines, necks & ribs. I don't give him beef bones cause they're too big & the marrow upsets his stomach, and I can't give him chicken cause he's intolerant of poultry.

Raven is on a distinguished road
The big weight bearing bones are fine for puppies to chew on but I would avoid them once their adult teeth are through unless you're going to remove them once the meat is chewed off.
