She's 8 months old. Can anyone give advice on whats best food wise for a dog who doesn't like dry food too much, is 8 months old, and if feeding her morning and night is correct?
Also I have been strict where I won't put any food in her bowl until she has eaten the previous batch. And she will eventually eat. Buts it's putting the pattern totally out of sorts.

Lol you are doing what I did...................you feel sorry for your dog and you think he does not like the food, he likes the alternatives you give him when he does not eat his dried food ie, bits of ham out of the fridge etc
I spent months hand feeding George when he was a pup, again this is a no no, I learn't the hard way, I have been known to provide more tastier food in the past, I have never given canned meat tho, smell makes me ill.
ok feeding him how it should be done
if you seriously want him to start eating from his bowl you will have to be firm. put his food down and leave it for 10 minutes.. if he doesn't eat it, lift it.
he shouldn't get anything until next meal. this includes
ANY kind of treats. harsh sounding i know, but the dog wont starve itself (I promise George went well over a week without eating, it was a battle and a half but lol I won in the end, he knows now to eat his food or it will be taken away from him, and it has not made him aggressive towards food)
They will not starve themselves!!!! if their is no medical reason, like sore teeth or digestive probs for not eating, then stick with it.
Its important not to make a fuss about food time. just put the bowl down quietly and leave him. if he eats, tell him good boy and praise him, but if he doesnt eat, dont say anything.
as long as he is drinking plenty of water he will be fine!
Good Luck and keep us updated on how you get on
