Additonal minerals for puppy

Dear Friends,

I'm feeding puppy food palletes for Max. He is an active guy and I guess that's why he's not putting on much weight. Should I supplement his daily diet with glucosomine and chondritine tablets?

Thank you.

Warmest Regards,

Selvam

Hi Selvam

I would think you wouldn't need to at this young age but that's just an opinion......also some foods contain these supplements already. I do put a small amount of Cod Liver Oil in Diesel's food.

Diesel was also slender until he was 2.5yrs, but I was told not to worry that he would naturally fill out and now he is

Yes, true, Diesel does look filled out. I was just worried about the constant wear and tear that my puppy would go through will all these activities. Last week I just brought him for a swim in the waterfall. He was having fun swimming there. My breeder mentioned that Max is of bigger bone structure, so that's why I was wondering while he is growing up he needs maximum nutrition. But then again, it depends on his ability to absorb as well.

I just came across another form of raw food. I went to the coldstorage houses where they keep beef, mutton and fish frozen. When they cut these meats using machine, they pick the dust and sell it too. I bought those cause it has meat and bone just which I think is good.

I think you're doing all the right things and your obviously feeding Max well so I wouldn't worry too much, just don't over exercise him whilst he's still growing
