Raw Feeding

Hi all,

I am going to switch my girl over to Raw food in the next couple of weeks and am after a little advice.
Ive read a lot of the threads on here but its all a bit confusing!!

Does anyone have any good points of reference (or just good advice!) for how much to feed, what to buy, and how best to change over without upsetting her tummy?

She is 5 and a half months old, and has recently been getting a bit bored of her dry food, and hasnt been putting on any weight, so I feel a raw diet with lots of variety will be good for her.
She has had a few scraps of raw chicken and turkey, and gets bones from the butchers regularaly, so I think she will love it.

Thanks in advance,

Jamie

P.S. Heres a little pic of Bali enjoying the woods:

Morning: 2 chicken wings or 1 bag of chicken mince with bone (454g).
Evening: 2 454g bags of minced chicken with bone.
Try this for a week then start introducing othe minced meats with bone.

I give a little leftover veg a couple of times a week, but not always needed if you feed tripe.
Add a little bit (1-2oz) of liver a few times a week.
Also give garlic 3-4 time a week in one of the meals,
With fresh garlic, just half a clove crushed, if it's dried garlic just a pinch.
This will keep fleas & ticks at bay.

Things like honey and natural yoghurt can be given as treats (just a spoonful).

When I switched mine over it was a straight swap, no more dry just straight onto raw.
It is a bit trail and error to get the perfect balance for your dog and finding what they do and do not like, but I haven't looked back since switching.

Bali is very sweet by the way, lovely markings on her.

I'm sorry but there is'nt enough variety in this diet, & I cannot see any offal or organ meats in there which is vital.

I knew I missed something off, I was trying to do two things at once! I give 1lb of heart twice a week. Chicken is good to start of with, but introduce other meats one at a time so if there are any upsets you know what may be causing it.
