Question Hilary

Anyone tried Origen grain free? Its very high in protein, and I have had mixedd opinions on if the high protein content can make dogs hyper, or aggressive. How much protein should a neutered adult GSD have? ( I mean for the average pet , not doing hours and hours of excercise?)Have changed to grain free as there is Anal Furunculosis in my younger dog's line, and there seems to be a suggestion that grain might be implicated in this horrible disease, so I've gone grain free. ( The dam's brother has it, and another relative has now got it.) Would raw be a better bet , as therev are very few grain free kibbles around.( and I mean free of ALL grain, even wheat!) Hope somone can help us! Thanks.

maxandskye has a spectacular aura about
Orijen is fab fab fab ......

Heidi is Atopic & Orijen seems to be the only food to keep it at bay. I am currently feeding her on the Regional Red Orijen, as it seems to fill her better than the fish or chicken. Its actually fit for human consumption too, not that I wish to try it out, LOL.

My last boy had AF, so I can understand where you are coming from with regards to a grain free diet.

There is also another brand of grain free kibble on the market called Taste of the Wild Taste of the Wild : Home, Zoo plus have currently started to sell this product.
