Sore knee
Hi all , hope everyone is well not been on for ages ! Bit of advice pls !! Just let Mowgli out for wee wee's ( ! ) he has come back in ( 5 mins max ) with half the fur missing on his left knee ! It's a big patch missing and right in the middle of it is quite a deep hole ! It's not bleeding , is very sore and his knee is starting to swell quite big , it actually looks like a cigarette hole ( not possible ) my car park is quite stoney and I can only guess he has gone flying and the stones have done it ?! Very odd ! Should I cover it / let him lick it ( which he is doing - should I put anything on it or do u think I should see the vet ?? He is not lame ( yet ! ) but I think he will be very soon as swelling so quickly ! Anyone elses animal I'd be fine but my babies put me into panic !!! Thanks Laney xx

I would get that checked out by a vet asap.
Is you garden overlooked? I don't want to panic you but that sounds very sudden and it could be an airgun pellet? I hope I am wrong but it sounds nasty whatever it is and I would get it seen.
Let us know what happens x

Yes, if it's swelling that fast, then you should def get it checked - let us know.

Thanku so much for ur concern , little chap is ok , there is a chance it could be a plastic bullet wound !!!! The morons next door do have air guns and shoot rabbits / squirrels etc so I think thats what has happened ! I have reported it to the police who actually took it quite seriously ! Mowgli has a/biotics and painkillers and should be fine , tho it is now ' cuddle time ' ....soppy little man ... thanks for ur help and advice Laney and Mog Dog xxx

Poor fella! Give him a big hug from me. Why oh why do people play with guns - any type of guns? They ALL do damage, and what possible pleasure can they get from shooting squirrels or rabbits?

Poor Mowgli! Glad it is not too serious, not the point though, that could have done some major damage to him. Give him an extra cuddle from me. And I hope it heals up okay with no lasting effects.

Hi really please that the police are showing interest - and so they should. It is an increasing problem and could have been a lot worse.
Anyway glad that Mowgli is now on the mend and that you got it sorted quickly. Poor boy xxx
