someone on bigsgsd rescue sent my this link , i thought it may help anyone here whos dog needs an op . it replaces the elizabethan collar. for something more comfortable. let me know what you think.

Ellie will be spayed in the new year so may look into this a bit more, as it seems far better than the lamp-shade collar which I know is gonna be huge due to Ellie being a shepherd..
It would be interesting to know how the dogs cope with this one. Diesel hated his collar when he was castrated and refused to move around when he had it on.

Remus destroyed the comfy collar in under 10 minutes. Ripped it off over his head (a normal collar was threaded through the comfy collar straps) leaving his normal collar on. A good design but poorly constructed straps.
