It could, but to be honest I'd make sure that it's nothing else first. It seems to have been going on for quite a while now.

I don't think changing food is the answer, I think you need to change vet + get some proper medical attention xxx

Hello everyone, there's still no improvement with sam so he's booked in with vet tomorrow,I explained how sam won't let vet check him properly and asked what can I do?they replied what can we do then I explained I just want sam better and don't know what to do with him being aggressive when vet wants to check him, they said will see a male vet instead but that's not gonna make a difference sam will be the same, don't know what to do just want sam better and this is getting me down

You will have to muzzle Sam when you take him into the vets and hold his collar when the vets take a look, it's never nice when your dog is freaked out by the vets but in this case you really need to get him looked out. Try to stay calm and see if Sam would be bribed with treats....good luck and please let us know how you get on...xxx

Trust me change your vet your dog knows the sight of the vets the same as mine does so I had the same problem with Odin and I had to change to a different branch as in the end I couldn't even get him in the door , the vet told me they get used to the smell so the trick is confuse them and take them else where to a new one , it did work Odin walked right in and was seen even allowed the vet to listen to his heart murmur with he had never done before .
It was less stressful for me and for Odin just ask if there is another branch.

Have they not even offered to use a muzzle? Dempsey isn't aggressive, but won't allow strangers to muck him about when he isn't well, so my vets always get a basket muzzle & very clamly & quitly slip it on before they've even taken a look. This seems to work, as everyone is then more relxed because they're not gonna get bitten!
If they don't supply one themselves, then buy one from your local pet shop, they're, not expensive.
I apprectaite that it's getting you down, I know I'd be very anxious too, but you really need to change your vets to one you can trust & who will be more responsive to your needs.

Sorry to hear Sam is the same and I think this needs sorting now.
Try him with some lambs liver that should help him go, if you dont like that idea some extra virgin olive oil about a tablespoon and that should help.
Id look at changing his food TBH
Winalot Ingredients
Meat and animal derivatives (min 14% meat, of which lamb 4 %), Vegetables (beans 4%, potatoes 4 %), Cereals, Vegetable protein extracts, Minerals.
Load of Rubbish IMO

Phil, you mustn't forget you are paying for a service, if you went to a resturant and the waiters spoke to you like that, would you return?
Change your vet as soon as you can, their attitude will be sensed by your dog and will only make matters worse.
You are throwing money away with these people, I am sure there are other practices in the area x
