ear???
all of yesterday, every now and again, pappy would let out a loud yelp. this happened when he was led down with no one around him, and also happened a couple of times when he was being stroked. but we checked him over, and couldnt find where the pain/discomfort area was. i kept checking, and couldnt find anything.
we have checked his pads, and there is no cuts or anything on them.hes not limping, so its cant be his legs or joints.
well, today, i went to stroke him on his head, and he yelped really loud. i did panick thinking it was something to do with his mouth,so i called him back to me, and when i touched his head behind his ear, he let out another loud yelp. also, when i went to let him off the lead yesterday afternoon, i mustv touched him in the same place, and he let out a little yelp then.
i dont know if this is of any relevance, but his one ear is moving more than usual. like it is twitching.. not all the time though. and also, iv noticed his ear keeps going flat, and pointing to the side. im assuming this is probably ear infection?!?! but any feedback or advice would be appreciated

It's probably an ear infection Hun... Does it look red inside? I'd check around the ear too incase there has been a tick and it's been knocked off and head is still in.... That would cause infection to the area aswell. Xx

If you can't see anything obvious, I'd let the vet have a look.
Ears are funny things, can be very painful.
They can send him off balance too.
Hope he feels better very soon.

its certainly an ear problem, weither it is a tick or not I dont know,.. the movement of the ear and the flattening of the ear all point to that.
Its very rare we go to the vet, but when it comes to ears I would always go, simply because you cant see the source of the problem, it may be a tick, it could well be dirt, bit of stick, wasp sting, almost anything
In answer to your question about the tick, if you did remove a tick and left the head in,..then you will see the head quiet clearly just under the skin,.,.. try not to do this though, you will run the risk of the head becomeing infected,.. far better to leave the tick to fall off itself than that

Sounds like an ear infection to me . Storm had an infection and his ear was twitching and sticking out the side of head like aeroplane wings lol. Your vet will have a good look and give you drops if needed then it clears up pretty quickly. In the meantime if he will let you try cleaning them this helped my boy one time so on that occasion it must of been dirt or something. Get Better Ears soon Pappy x

This time of year is bad for grass seeds getting into places where they don't belong. It could be anything, a foreign body or general infection. Hope you can get it sorted soon,

I hope you can find out what's causing him to yelp, never nice when you can't see the cause of it...xx
