Going to the vets... Ears again :(

My poor poor baby girl has had nothing but bother with her ears since she was an ickle wee bubba, we clean them regular and try to keep on top if it when they are really really bothering her by cleaning a few times a day. She has been on ABs lots of times so now I try to deal with it myself without going to the vet as I don't want her on them all the time ....... And it's fricken expensive!!!

ANYWAY.... they are really hurting just now so we are going to the vets

Keep ya posted!

Are you over cleaning.. It may be irritating them so they're producing more 'gunk' ?

Only clean them 2x a day when she starts really scratching at them and whimpering other than that it's only 1 or 2x a week they get cleaned.... She rubs her face on the ground to try get the halti off and runs through bushes a lot so that's why I clean them often too... The ear infections started before my obsession with keeping them clean lol
Xxx

I see. Any pong coming from them? Some sheps really seem prone to ear problems. My friend's dog is the same - he loves his ears being massaged, when she puts drops in or cleans them, so it must give him some relief.

I clean my dogs' ears when they're mucky - can't remember the last time Maybe a couple of weeks ago!

Sounds pretty strange that the AB's don't sort it out hun. Maybe they'll try something different this time and hopefully it'll get sorted out.

Tedsmum will become famous soon enough
Some dogs have a narrow ear canal that doesn't allow the air to circulate properly and this makes them prone to infection.
I hope they come up with a solution for her as it is distressing to see your bubba in distress. x
