I give fish as often as I can,.. I think that fish is at least equal to meat as a food.

You can either give the fish whole, [fresh of not] they dont have to be gutted either,..some dogs like them gutted others done mind either way,... the only thing I do, is if the fish is bigger than about 12-14 inches then I will remove the larger back bone spikes,..I think that they can deal with them, its just that why take the chance of a larger bone getting stuck when you dont need to.

Mine get Salmon from the local smoke house, I am given what is left after the fillets have been removed,.. so the head and tail/ rear body,... these are big enough to give me a head half the size of a football,..easily a meal in themselves

Tinned fish are good,.. but drain off the liquid before feeding, you do not want to give the dog the brine

Blitz has pilchards, sardines and if he is lucky salmon.
All tinned in tomato sauce.
He gets two tins in a meal when I am giving him it, I have found more than that in one sitting he gets a dicky tummy x

Watch out for tins with chillis in - they often are packaged nearly the same but will really upset your dog!!!!!

Heather has a spectacular aura about
Mine get tinned sardines with olive oil, also fresh whole sardines but I feed them frozen cos that's how they'll eat them. Yesterday my son caught a couple of good sized fish (don't know what type) and I gave them to Kira and loba but they wouldn't eat them so I've frozen them to see if they'll have them that way. Fresh fish is not their favourite so I tend to give it when I know they're really hungry.

I am not normally a fisherman, but there are a few place we go where I throw a rod in from time to time,..and I find that Kee will eat fish in any condition fresh, frozen, gutted or not,... but Sam and Jazz turn their noses up at fresh caught fish, but love frozen Salmon,.... I will try freezing the fish I catch next time and see how that goes
