It may well be where fleas have started to work on the skin,... do you have any shampoo that will deal with the fleas,...catch them now before they get too many.

When did you use the `Spot on`?

The thing is with fleas,... if the dog ever gets them once, then you have to also treat things like his bedding, anywhere that the dog might lie that would hold fleas,... which can also include the carpet, because you can treat the dog, then he goes and lies down and gets contaminated again

I really dont understand how he has fleas,... but I have heard that you shouldnt give the same type of treatment too often as they tend to get used to it,... maybe thats how it has accured

Spot on only kills fleas on the dog it doesnt stop any that are in the house already
Frontline combo does both, its what I use and is only available on prescription from your vets.
Im wondering though if it could be the same thing as Links elbow which is a pressure sore
Is it on the same side she is sleeping and does she sleep on hard floors?

OMg..I had a big problem with fleas 3 years ago because of my cat, had to call pest control, the house was infested..after that I made sure I use frontline every 4 weeks without fail ..now I hope it wont be the same
Maya sleeps mostly on the floor but when I go to bed she sneaks on the sofa..could be that..??maybe I should take her to the vet ?

If using spot on you would need to use Virbac also for the house, Spot on will protect Maya but like I said not the house.
Have you got any pictures of her sore elbow?
Take a look at my thread Links left elbow on health forum.
Hers is definately a pressure sore through sleeping on hard floors. If it is and your vet will confirm is to use some cream like zinc and caster oil or sudecrem, and make sure she lays/sleeps on something comfy.
Hoping your house is alright
Linda
