raw query

we have been feeding Marley age 1 soon a raw diet.
my question is-is it ok to feed dry biscuits and chew sticks separately but on the same day?
i have noticed dry powdery looking bits in his no2's and am assuming its the dry food?

If you remember that raw food takes about 5-6 hours to digest and commercail kibble about 12 hours,.. and that you shouldnt feed them both together,..then the answer to your question is yes you can,... you could feed the raw diet in the morning, and the biscuits in the afternoon/evening,.. the raw has digested by then, and the dry food digested my morning.

What chew sticks are you useing,... there is a great concern over feeding rawhide chews, as these can swell up and some dogs have been known to choke on them

If your dogs poo`s are white and powery, then you are feeding too much bone,.. reduce the bone content and you will see a better colour,... dry food on its own should not produce powdery bits
