Hhheeelllppppppppp

I've seen a thread that talks about the black 'spots' some of your GSDs have on their tongue. Tilly has one, we've just noticed, on one of her pads

It's the size of half of one pad, reeeeelllyy ink black, but not the paw she's chewing ?????

Can't remember what the verdict was on the tongue black spot, do you think her chewing could be anything to do with the black spot?

Seriously at our wits end now, any help = muchly appreciated xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The black spots on tongues are birth marks hun, just pigmentation. Is the black spot on Tilly's paw raised?

Tedsmum will become famous soon enough
Black spots on tongue = pigment
Just like a birth mark but develops at any time or age.
Nothing to worry about.
I would think that Tilly's is the same.

Don't Panic

No it's not raised, but it's not the colouring you'd expect from her pigmentation. It's like a sort of indigo tattoo ink colour, almost blue/purply black, you know what I mean you have one

Never noticed it before do you think it could be bruising?

Sounds like pigmentation. The way to tell if it's bruising is with a biro draw around it, trace the shape - if it changes / reduces you'll know then.

I'm going to vet tomorrow, I'd have noticed it if it had been there before, I know how many whiskers she has + how many pigmentation spots up her nostrils, I know her so well

I know that's sad but she's my princess + I know everyone of her lumps + bumps as I do with baby Boris too

I need to speak to vet anyway so I'll drop it in the conversation, I'm sure he thinks I'm mad, can't imagine why

Thanks everyone xxxxxxxxxxxx

I'm sure it's just pigmentation, but let us know what the vet says.

Vet says spots are pigmentation, I know they haven't always been there, but she's still growing + I suppose they could have been littler + got bigger the colour of them is odd though, but when I look round her mouth the black bits are very similar

Anyway she has to go in for a skin biopsy on Friday, what I've been trying to avoid, but 2 of her toes are almost bald + I can't let her carry on like this. I just hate GAs, I'll be a wreck on Friday, I'll cry when I have to leave her + have mascara all down my face

Put some more lick strips on today + she's nibbled them off an hour later the lil mare

So that's where we're up to
