Sore Throat?

Bonnie was a little off yesterday, she was sick in the morning (just bile) and had bum gravy in the evening (had normal poo in the afternoon).... the thing is though I've noticed she has a bit of a sore throat

She was barking at the pup next door yesterday when I noticed it for the 1st time, she was really hoarse and had a cough after the bark like she was trying to get somthing out/up...... everytime she has barked since she sounds sore and coughs

Any ideas on what I can give her to make it feel better???

Perhaps kennel cough? None of mine have ever had it but I know friends whose dogs suffered this and they say the dogs cough as if something is stuck in their throats. Hope she feels better soon.

Oh dear, I don't know what could be wrong with Bonnie.
I do hope she soon feels better.

If it were one of my two, I'd give her honey. It's a natural antibiotic. Manuka honey is the richest in it's health properties.

If it is kennel cough, when my two got it, I treated it with honey and olbas oil (I put this on the radiators in each room so there was a constant smell of it), and it cleared quite quickly. (I kept them in during this time and tried to keep the house relatively warm - luckily it was winter, so the heating was on).

I hope she's feeling better soon

Sorry Audrey I don`t really know much about it but I remember a friend turning up on the Saturday with her dog who (although she didn`t know it yet) had kennel cough, he`d only started coughing that day and by the Thursday evening one of the other walkers dogs had the symptoms.
Hopefully someone else will have good advice.

Thanks hunni for the advice, she only coughs after a bark at one thing or another so I'm not entirley convinced it's KC..... YET! I sure hope not I'll keep an eye on her and see how it goes....

..... I do wonder though how long after being around the virus would she show symptoms??

I'm not too sure, but if you start giving honey with her meals or treats, it should clear up whatever it is that she has
