Tilly's Allergy

Everything crossed we've got to the bottom of this please God.....

Got an email from Tilly's breeder last night forwarding to me an email from the lovely people who have her brother Farley. Farley has a very bad grass allergy + has piriton everyday. His symptoms are identical, rash, scratching, occasional ear problem, LICKING FEET OBSESSIVELY!!!!!!!

So spoke to vet who has always been reluctant to give her piriton but I've persuaded him she must have it so I'm sooooooo hoping this is the end of the mysterious allergy WWWOOOOOOHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

It has done really well for Farley so I'm desperate for this to work before she eats herself

xxxxxxx

Someone I used to know had a staff who was allergic to grass, so had to wear dog boots, so you can always get some blinged up dog boots lol

Hey that is good news, is it a seasonal thing with the grass then? What was the outcome of the biopsy she had? Sorry if I've missed that

Thank you xxx They'd have to be pink boots Jen

Sorry been soooo busy forgot to tell you about the biopsy. It wasn't for what I thought it was. It was to rule out deep seated mites, infections + tumours, all clear

If we'd known about Farley a couple of weeks ago we'd have saved about £350 + the trauma of a GA but at least we know now, I'm going to collect the piriton after work + am desperate for it to make a difference

I'll let you know how she gets on

Just wanted to post the symptoms in case anyone else's dog has them, it's been such a worry watching her in obvious distress, I'd hate for anyone else to go through the 'not knowing' xxx
