Definitely try abattoirs for the pancreas as Jo says as it is cheap if you can get hold of it.

Below was taken from the second link

The suggested raw pancreas formula is 3 to 4 ounces of raw pancreas for a 44 lb dog. It can be frozen (up to 3 months), but must be thawed to room temperature. Let thaw naturally. Never heat, cook or microwave pancreatic enzymes whether fresh or manufactured.

i know when we had our white gsd called sorba, in 1996, the vet said we could use a human medication for our dog. it worked out way cheaper than the vets medication. at the time, the vets medication was over £70, but the medication from boots was about £25, bound to have gone up in price though. we used to get it from boots, had to order it over the counter. im sure it was called pancrex v40, or forte. or something similar. whether anyone on here would recomend this now though.

Remus had EPI. I researched the raw pig pancreas, which led onto raw feeding sites. Consulted with my vet about it, switched to a raw 'home diet' and his TLI levels have been normal since.

From memory he was on Pancrex V tablets a pot of 300 cost £11 from my vets.

Would you say then, that a dog that is already on a raw diet will not get EPI?
