Limping

Harvey needed out early hours of this morning, hubby got back and said Harvey was limping slighty!

I took him out this morning and he appears to be limping on his front right leg, I checked his leg and paw and his joints and he doesnt seem to be in any pain, there are no cuts to his pads and he didnt bat an eye when I was pulling his leg and have a good press and prod, he is not crying either
Hubby was playing rough with him yesterday and Harvey was jumping around like a dog possessed!

Do you think Harvey could have strained himself?, he is still able to jump on the bed and sofa with no trouble
I am going to keep an eye on him today and see what happens

Funny you say this, Jenson has been exactly the same. I stopped playing ball with him for a couple of days and it seemed better but then after playing again I noticed him limping slightly again. So we've not done any running with him all weekend and will see how it goes today but like you, there is nothing obvious and he seems in no pain either.

I'm thinking it is just a sprain to be honest.

RstuS will become famous soon enough
Bodie just got over something like this a couple of weeks ago.
When he started limping, I kept him reasonably quiet for a day or so, but let him offlead a bit too soon. He was running and jumping/climbing back up things on our walk and made it worse. Like yours he had no pain when touched and pulled/swelling or anything. I think he strained his shoulder, so kept him lead walked for a week till limping stopped, he's fine now. (Touch Wood)
Trouble is Bodie is pushing 50KG and big jumps etc can pull a muscle

I think Harvey is not far off that weight too, so I know what you mean about big jumps

wildmoor has disabled reputation
intermitent limping can be various things apart from a sprain such as ED, pano dependent on age, OCD shoulder etc
