anal glands advice

hi
looking for some advice my german sheperd bitch which is just 2 years of age had her anal glands only expressed at the vets only 10 days ago and showing signs in the last two days were a scent / smell of that fowl smell which come from anal glands again. can any body advise me on how often these should be expressed
can it be her diet being fed Arden Grange salmon and potato
can these anal glands be removed

they shouldnt actualy need it, if she was done 10 days ago is it possble they could be infected

I'd say it's more likely that they're infected. They're unlikely to be blocked again so soon. I'd have a word with the vet.

Agree with above two posts they are more than likely to be infected and need antibiotics.
Yes they can be removed I had one of my Shep's done but not an operation to be taken lightly.
Arden Grange is a good food if she has always been fed on that should not be food.
May need more roughage in her diet. Thats if she is not on Salmon and Potato for any special reason. Wholemeal biscuits may help or a few bran flakes in her food. Does she drink enough and get enough exercise.
Could just be as advised she has an infection. Would not worry unless it keeps reoccurring love.
