Kyla having problems

Hi all,
As you may know, kyla is almost 14 years old and unspayed. She is in season at the moment and pretty fed up. What is concerning me is this, i have noticed she is drinking huge amounts of water and hence she is weeing a lot but seems unable to hold her wee and when she is out she is walking along with a constant stream of urine. She does not seem to stop and crouch...just wees constantly.
I know when when she is in season she tends to wee more but this is far and beyond normal.
I realise that her age it could be any number of problems but i am thinking the vet may need to take a look at her,i am worried about diabetes, kidney failure etc
She seems ok otherwise and is alert and eating as normal but something aint quite right.
Any thoughts?

Sarah x

I think a visit to the vet is needed - there are a lot of things that it could be. One of the signs of pyo is excessive drinking but it can also be a sign of other things such as urinary infection or diabetes. Good luck!

With diabetes there would be other signs like tiredness + 'dropsy' of back legs. Could it be age related incontinence?

If it were me I'd have to take her to vet for a check up in case there's any risk of infection, I'd be terrified of pyo especially given her age

Hope she's ok

Thanks everyone, you have confirmed what i have been thinking. She seems well apart from this and is only 7 days into her season but it is a worry and something is certainly not right.I will get her to the vet and see what she thinks.

sami is a jewel in the rough
Hi Sarah

probably best to get her checked out but if it is just incontinence let me know. I have a nearly full pack of csj Hold it herbs I bought for Sami but they didnt do anything for her but her problem is stones. Laney recommended them she said they worked great for Bair.

Let us know.
