Balding round eye/mouth
Anyone seen this before?
I've googled it and all I can find is worms or mange/mites.
He has been wormed and there is no evidence of anything anywhere else on his body ie round his ears plus JL is clear and nobody is scratching?
It's not sore either. Very strange.

I've just read on line that Demodectic mange is generally seen in dogs less than two years of age. These mange mites are passed to puppies skin from their mothers. Could this be why JL hasn't got it? I better go vet tomo I think as I can't have him covered in Mange. Unless there is something over the counter you know of that I could try first?

Pam has had something similar to this with Poly, not sure what she used, but she may have some ideas for you.

Now wondering if a dose of advocate might do the trick. He will be 6 months old on wednesday- is it ok to use on him at this age?

Thanks Pam.
Looks like it is safe to use but typically the dose size I have is for JL sized dogs so I'll have to ring then vet in the vet in the morning and get them to put some up for me. I wonder if the once a month treatment will be enough or if I should do it every 2 weeks?

Sasha had something similar but only got it on one side of the mouth which would go bright red when wet It went away by itself after a few weeks, I did have a picture of it around her eyes/mouth but cant find them.
