Piriton
After all the great advice on here, I tried Piriton for Kenzies itchy skin. It worked great and after a few weeks all the itchiness and scratching had gone. So we stopped giving it to her and now a month or so later, she is scratching again, not as bad. Started her back on them again but just wondering if this time, when it clears up I should keep her on a small daily dose? Or maybe go onto evening primrose oil?

Tilly's brother has piriton every day, we've tried primrose oil + it doesn't work, well not for Tilly anyway
So Farley, Tilly's brother, is on piriton for life
Propolis gel is also good for itchiness, but the thing that seems to be doing it for Tilly is thornit
I'd stick with the piriton

Would one per 4mg day be enough?

My vets told me that you can safely give two tablets a day with no problems at all. Any more, they said, should be supervised by a vet.

It would depend on the weight of the dog, age, severity of allergy etc
I'd start off on as many as the vet says dog can have, then reduce them till you reach a level that works. Farley probably weighs about 20 kilos ish, + has one a day. If your dog weighs twice that, then maybe 2 a day would be more realistic.
If 2 tablets are required, I'd split them + give 1 morning and 1 night

Forgot to add, don't buy them from vet, human piriton are the same + cost far less online

Do you have any idea what it is she's allergic to? I wish prirton worked for JL's pollen allergy but it doesn't even flipping touch it :-(

Not at all? That's unusual. Is there nothing that works?
